BACOLOD City – The Municipal Trial Court of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental ordered the arrest of the local government’s municipal agriculturist.
Estanislao Cayanan, 56, was charged with violation of Section 8 (Statements and Disclosure) of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
The charges were lodged as Criminal Case Nos. 2835, 2834, 2831, 2832, and 2833.
Police served him an arrest warrant at his office on Wednesday.
Judge Mary Ann Charisma C. Gutierrez-Kho issued the warrant on the same day and set the bail at P25,000 (P5,000 for each count), a police report showed.
Cayanan was detained at the Hinoba-an police station./PN
