BACOLOD City – Two men were caught in an illegal drug buy-bust operation at the South (Sambok) Terminal in Barangay 31.
Joe Michael Chua Caylan and cousin John Michael Chua Caunga were on board their car when they sold alleged prohibited drugs to an undercover operative of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for P500.
The cousins also yielded alleged dried marijuana leaves worth some P5,000, a small plastic pack of suspected shabu, aluminum foils, and two lighters. Their car was impounded, too.
Both were detained in the Police Station 6 lockup cell and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA and Police Station 6 personnel staged the operation around 6:20 p.m. on April 5.
On the same day two drug suspects were arrested in Barangay Sampinit, Bago City.
Ernie Villa, 31, and Leo Ubando, 39, both of Purok Camansi, Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P200, said Superintendent David Cachumbo Jr., Bago City police chief.
Four more plastic packs of similar substance were seized from them./PN
