OUTLETS and mobile markets under the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita program will be temporarily closed for the Holy Week holidays, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said Wednesday.
According to Agriculture Secretary William Dar, the Kadiwa centers will be closed from Thursday to Sunday.
April 9 was earlier declared as a holiday due to the commemoration of the Araw ng Kagitingan and observance of Maundy Thursday, and April 10 of Good Friday.
“Kasi kakaunti ‘yung tauhan natin, ang dapat ay mag-Kadiwa online sila para tuloy-tuloy. Otherwise, ‘yung Kadiwa areas natin na meron kaming iniimbitahan na magsasaka doon at magtitinda doon ay tigil muna sa Thursday and Friday hanggat Sunday,” Dar said in a television interview.
“Pero starting next week, nandiyan ulit ang Kadiwa. Kadiwa on Wheels, Kadiwa Online, Kadiwa Express,” he added.(GMA News)
