DA-WV conducts mushroom production training in Passi

ILOILO City – Twenty-seven members of the Cabunga Rural Improvement Club (RIC) in Passi City, Iloilo attended the two-day mushroom production training from March 18 to 19, 2021.

She ensured the commitment of the RIC members for the success of the livelihood assistance.

Mr. Eden Panizales and Ms. Rizalyn Loloy led the discussion and demonstration of the technology.

The RIC received mushroom production starter kits composed of pressure cookers, casseroles, petri-dish, spatulas, denatured alcohol, alcohol lamps, butane, butane tanks, cotton, PVC pipes, white sugar, milled rice, and many more.

To sustain the livelihood assistance, Payas conducted a meeting together with the RIC members to formulate an action plan in preparation for the adaptation of the mushroom production technology.

Cabunga RIC hopes to start to produce mushrooms next month.
