BACOLOD City – A man who was allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade was gunned down in Barangay Looc, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
The suspect in shooting Jerald Flores of Barangay Banilad, Dumaguete City was still unidentified, police said.
Flores was shot on the body and head around 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, added the police.
A rescue team led by Dr. Kenneth Coo responded to the scene of the crime. Coo pronounced Flores dead at around 6:14 a.m.
Records from the Dumaguete City police station showed that 200 plastic sachets suspected to be used in repacking shabu were recovered from Flores on Friday.
Flores was not detained, though.
Police were still identifying the suspect and the motive in the shooting./PN
