Doon po sa DepEd, Part 3

THIS is now is the conclusion of the three-part mini-series, which is nothing but a really long scathing, but entertaining, essay that is a reaction to one teacher calling me on my strong language, and political allegiances.

I think the aim of my reactor was to red tag me.

Make me look that I am anti-Duterte administration.

*

People forget that I helped put the president to power.

I campaigned, and voted, for him.

Of course, I realized I didn’t like the rest of his policies one and a half years into his office.

But I have mostly kept mum against the administration.

I was willing to wait it out until the end of his term, just like how the Americans waited for Trump to be voted out after many have realized their initial mistake of making him president in the first place.

*

I very much believe in democracy and peaceful transfer of power.

But when people f*ck up the education of young Filipinos, that’s where I draw the line.

And I will not be holding back; I will be bold to speak out.

Here again, witness:

*

*

Umaasang babalikan.

Umaasang mapapansin.

Umaasa sa wala.

Umaasa sa DepEd!

*

Hindi ko rin po ginustong maging matalino.

God-given gift yata ito.

Pero it’s like a curse talaga.

Kasi if you are smart like me, kailangan mo talagang kalampagin ang mga gumagawa ng katiwalian, kabobohan at kapalpakan.

Or else, babawiin ni God ang boses at wisdom mo.

Nasa Bibliya po iyan, “The Parable of Talents” yata ang title.

*

So, uulitin ko lang.

*

(I’m not competing with noisy idiots and fanatics. But if the smart side stays quiet, stupidity becomes the sad and bad New Normal.)

*

Alam ko ring ipapako rin nila ako in the end, pero okey lang, kasi parang Jesus Christ Superstar naman ang peg noon.

And it makes me feel good, for now, that people see me as someone who can speak out for them.

Kasi as a writer, this is #petersolisnery, this is #ThePSN:

He who gives voice to those who don’t have it; and he who uses his most well-chosen words (not necessarily “nice”) to create the most impact, and to hopefully get a strong response.

*

What’s a strong response?

‘Yong maraming uma-agree sa akin; but also katulad ng response ninyo — ‘yong hindi kayo pinatulog ng post ko. ‘Yong kinailangan mo mag-react.

DepEd needs to react.

So, now, get me to DepEd!/PN
