ROXAS City – An alleged drug den was dismantled where six individuals were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Sitio Cassandra, Barangay Punta Tabuc here.
PDEA said the operation at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, led to the arrest of the main subject, suspected drug den maintainer John Cris Catubuan Villaruz, 54, a resident of the place.
Five alleged visitors to the drug den were also caught: Luisa “Negra” Llasos, 31, of Barangay Inzo Arnaldo; Christian Villanueva, 28, of Barangay Punta Tabuc; Roel Carles, 37, of Barangay Banica; and Rubson Demausa, 40, of Barangay Punta Tabuc, all in Roxas City; and Reymark Valderama, 27, from Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan, Ivisan, Capiz.
Seized during the operation were around 17 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P100,000 and drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, Villaruz denied peddling illegal drugs.
As of this writing, the suspects were detained at the Roxas City Police Station. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
