KALIBO, Aklan – A former drug surrenderer was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok 6 C. Laserna, Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo town on Tuesday afternoon, September 10.
The 45-year old Emmanuel “Jun” Ledesma, a resident of the town’s Barangay Andagao, was caught after he handed a medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P7,000.
During the body search, operatives of the Kalibo Municipal Police Station (MPS) also recovered a plastic sachet of suspected shabu, a plastic sachet with residue of alleged shabu, lighters, scissor, totter, and two mobile phones believed use in the drug trade activities.
Ledesma was detained at the Kalibo MPS. He is facing charges for violations of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
