DUMAGUETE City – Bishop Julito Cortes encouraged the people to pray in the wake of the killings in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental and terror attacks in the country.
Cortes said the Oratio Imperata Angelus Prayer against Terrorism and Violence must be recited every after mass in different parishes.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, through its former president Archbishop Socrates Villegas, initiated the prayer against terrorism and violence in early June following the terror attacks in Marawi City.
Bishop Cortes earlier asked parish priests to have the prayer recited following reports that Negros Oriental and Siquijor were among the areas facing terrorism threats. (PNA)
