ILOILO City – A man was hacked on Saturday night in Barangay San Rafael, Dumalag, Capiz.
Celdronio Fajardo was taken to the Roxas Memorial Hospital.
The suspects were arrested and detained at the Dumalag police station. They were Fajardo’s brother Alex and nephew Andres.
According to Police Officer 2 Meldrin Faduga, the hacking happened around 9 p.m. at Fajardo’s house. He and the suspects were on a drinking binge.
The three had a heated argument and decided to call it a night. Alex and Andres left.
However, the two returned to Fajardo’s house and attacked the victim, Faduga said.
“We don’t know yet what caused the argument,” said Faduga.
The Dumalag police was unsure as of this writing if Fajardo would be pressing charges against his brother and nephew.
But Faduga said the police station can, on its own, file a complaint of frustrated murder against the suspects./PN
