BACOLOD City – A 67-year-old man attempted to commit suicide in Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, police said.
Resident Eduardo Villaruz shot himself on the head in his bedroom, a police report showed.
Reynaldo Villaruz, 49, heard the gunshot around 3 p.m. on Aug. 6 and discovered Eduardo lying on his bed holding .38-caliber a gun.
Reynaldo reported to the police.
Bago City Rescue Unit rushed Eduardo to Bago City Hospital and was transferred to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City. Eduardo is under treatment.
Eduardo was frustrated because of his illness, Reynaldo said.
The police report did not state how Eduardo and Reynaldo were related.
