ILOILO City – For owning an unlicensed firearm, an electrician was arrested in Barangay Ipil, Barbaza, Antique.
Armed with a search warrant, police raided the house of 52-year-old Joefel Alavata around 5:30 a.m. on July 29.
A .38 revolver loaded with six live bullets and a fragmentation grenade were recovered from the house, a police report showed.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Barbaza municipal police station.
Charges for violations of Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Illegal Possession of Explosives will be filed against him./PN
