ILOILO City – Wilmar Ebide got electrocuted in Barangay Benedicto, Jaro district. He died.

The 32-year-old was trying to fix a power line of the Panay Electric Company at around 4:25 p.m. on Sunday when he accidentally touched a live wire, a police report showed.

Ebide was a resident of Barangay Tanza Timawa II, City Proper.

It was not immediately clear why the victim was fixing a power line some 10 kilometers from where he lived.

Ebide was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center on E. Lopez Street, Jaro where he was pronounced dead./PN
