ELISSE Joson admitted that at the moment, there’s no possibility for her and her ex-partner McCoy de Leon to get back together, as their main focus right now is to co-parent their daughter, Felize.
Joson got candid about her feelings during a recent appearance on the “Moment to Moment with Coach Pia” podcast when she was asked about the chance of rekindling her romance with de Leon.
“I think right now our focus is really on Felize and keeping the peace and harmony. Kasi may mga times po na kahit anong try niyo to fix your differences, hindi po nagwo-work. So let’s leave it like that and focus on what matters,” she said.
The “Mallari” actress underscored that she and de Leon are putting their energy into working out their “pains and traumas individually” as they communicate their current co-parenting setup to their daughter.
“So there are days na we will still go eat together as a family, play with her, spend time with her. So we really make an effort to be there for her, the both of us, with her,” she explained. “But at the same time, we are also regularly explaining to her, telling her na, ‘Mommy and Daddy are just friends now.’”
In July 2025, Joson confirmed that she and de Leon had mutually decided to end their relationship for good. The pair had been in an on-and-off relationship since meeting at the “Pinoy Big Brother” house in 2016.
The former couple didn’t disclose when they started dating, but they seemingly confirmed their first breakup in 2018. They reconciled sometime before the COVID-19 pandemic and welcomed Felize in 2021.
In 2023, de Leon became the center of speculations about being unfaithful to Joson, which led to another separation that they seemingly patched up a month later. As of press time, the pair is co-parenting their daughter. (Jessica Ann Evangelista © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
