A frustrated Enchong Dee called out an international airline for alleged racism after it blocked his ticket, forcing him to get to France through another airline, with an officer threatening to revoke his Schengen visa.
In a now-expired Instagram Stories, Dee called out the Air France for allegedly “offloading [his] ticket” due to undisclosed reasons, prompting him to fly to France from a different location and purchase a ticket from Etihad Airways instead.
The actor also claimed that an officer threatened him with having his Schengen visa revoked.
“Threatened to revoke my Schengen Visa, mind you these are not immigration officer but rather ground staff or Air France in Bangkok. So I bought a new ticket to land straight to London then went to Paris to follow the rules still flying with Air France, kasi baka naman sila,” he said.
“I got my boarding pass from Madrid to Bangkok. When I got to the airport, I found out they blocked my ticket. So what to do? I bought a new ticket with @etihad instead right then and there,” he continued.
In a separate post, Dee said he eventually “shifted [his] perspective,” adding that he at least got to extend his stay in Spain.
“I get to spend an extra whole day in Madrid. I’ve seen all their terminals since I’m transferring from one terminal to another. @airfrance again, you suck!” he said.
Despite his experience with the airline, he said that he still enjoyed his vacation in France where he toured the Arc de Triomphe, among other French tourist sites.
Air France has yet to respond to Dee’s rants, as of this writing. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
