ILOILO City – Estancia, Iloilo’s most wanted person was arrested yesterday in his house in Barangay Poblacion Zone II.
The 32-year-old fisherman, Jay-Ar Caracas, was taken to the Estancia Police Station at 9:30 a.m.
Personnel of the Estancia Police Station headed by Police Captain Arniel Buraga were armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Jose Mauricio E. Gomez of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 71, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, for violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of an unlicensed firearm.
A bail bond of P100,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty was recommended.
On April 11, Judge Gomez also issued an arrest warrant against Estancia’s No. 10 most wanted person.
Anthony Maglasang, 25, of Barangay Poblacion Zone II, was arrested for frustrated homicide with a bail of P72,000 for his temporary liberty.
“We were able to locate the whereabouts of wanted persons in our area because of the information sent to us by the community,” Buraga said./PN
