BACOLOD City – An ex-convict was shot to death by unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen along Luzuriaga Street, Barangay 13 here on April 26.
The 52-year-old Benvienido Gellanga of Barangay Singcang-Airport died of multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The suspects fled east of Luzuriaga Street after the shooting, witnesses told the police.
As this was being written, no suspect was yet named.
The motive was also still unclear.
The victim’s nephew, Mark Anthony Ibanez, said Gellanga lived alone after he was discharged from the Iwahig Penal Colony in Puerto Princesa, Palawan in 2018. His uncle had served time for the crime of homicide./PN
