Bacolod City – A man was shot dead in Barangay Lopez Jaena, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The 28-year-old Virgilio Tingson, a former village watchman of Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, died of gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Tingson was driving a motorcycle with Junel Sedoriosa as back rider when an unidentified suspect shot Tingson around 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 14.
Tingson was rushed to the Lopez District Farmers’ Hospital Inc. in Sagay City where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Sagay City police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the incident./PN
