‘Exes Baggage’ earnings reach P200-M – producers

“EXES Baggage” has been really good at making people cry.

And not just the ones who have already watched it in cinemas, but also its own producers after it was revealed that it has made nearly P207 million in the local box office in just 9 days.

“Tears of joy,” assured its Facebook page, thanking those who have so far supported the first-ever movie from Black Sheep – a newly introduced film outfit under ABS-CBN Films.

It has been receiving good reviews, which, combined with the strong buzz around its lead stars Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino – themselves exes in real life – have translated into fans buying tickets.

It earned a whopping P71 million after its first three days, following a September 26 premiere, and went on to rake in another impressive total of P136 million before entering its second weekend.

The movie is directed by Dan Villegas. (ABS-CBN News)
