IT’S been a trying year for IV of Spades, who had to deal with losing one of its members, Unique Salonga.
But there’s a chance that the band may still end the season on a high, if they were to be named the Best Southeast Asian Act in the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards next month.
They were revealed to be one of the nominees, along with acts from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand.
The results of the online-based poll will be revealed on Nov. 5 in an awards ceremony to be held in Spain.
Should IV of Spades win, they will become the third Pinoy artist to do so following Sarah Geronimo and James Reid.
The nomination comes days after the band released “Bata, Dahan-Dahan,” their second new song after Salonga left to go solo.
The band is best known for the hit, “Mundo,” which earned it the best new artist award at the MYX Music Awards 2018. (ABS-CBN News)
