BACOLOD City – The Philippine College of Physicians (PCP)-Negros Occidental chapter is appealing for public cooperation as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in this city and the province continue to rise.

The group said at least 10 people are dying of the viral illness every day, 93 percent of which were unvaccinated.

Halos tanan nga ospital nagdeklara na full capacity tungod sa kadamuon kag kadasig sang pagtaas sang kaso sang COVID-19,” the group said.

They urged the public to properly wear facemasks, observe physical distancing when outdoors and practice frequent hand washing.

Workers, meanwhile, are enjoined to immediately contact their employers if they feel any COVID-19 symptoms such as colds, flu, fatigue, diarrhea, and loss of taste.

The group reiterated the importance of getting vaccinated, pointing out all vaccines available are effective./PN
