MANILA Despite getting lucrative offers from other collegiate teams, Ejiya EyaLaure has decided to stay put and play for the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses in the collegiate arena.

Laure said she has committed the rest of her volleyball career to the Golden Tigresses, where she is expected to team up with her older sister Ennajie.

Laures decision to stay put has a large impact on the Golden Tigresses program following the quick departure of former UST high school stars Alyssa Valdez, Dindin and Jaja Santiago, Kim Fajardo, Pauline Gaston and Aerieal Patnongon upon entering college.

Kung dati sinasabi nila na yung UST iniiwan ng players, siguro ngayon, sa case namin, we will stay sa UST kasi love talaga namin yung UST,said Laure.

Sinasabi nga ni Ate (Ennajie) pagka-graduate niya pa lang ng high school, alam niya daw talaga sa loob niya na sa UST niya gusto which I feel the same din talaga, she added.

The younger Laure has already shown her wares with the Golden Tigresses after playing as a guest playerfor the squad in the Shakeys V-League Season 13 Collegiate Conference./PN
