ROXAS City – Charged with two counts of rape, a farmer was arrested in Barangay Mapulang Bato, Dao, Capiz.
The 54-year-old resident Ronnie Guillermo was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Esperanza Isabel Deslate of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 issued on May 24.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Capiz served the warrant on Tuesday.
Senior Police Officer 4 Manuel Gorobat Jr. of CIDG-Capiz said Guillermo tried to evade the arrest but he was cornered.
Guillermo was detained at the Dao municipal police station lockup facility.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
