BACOLOD City – A farmer from Barangay Tadlong, Mabinay, Negros Oriental was stabbed.

Bonifacio Fuentes, 50, was taken to the Mabinay Medicare Community Hospital. He had stab wounds on various parts of the body.

An allegedly drunken and unruly Rudy Abalorio, 28, attacked him on Sunday.

Abalorio, also a farmer, was detained in the Mabinay police station.

Fuentes and a neighbor were near the house of Fuentes’ mother Estelita when Abalorio dissed them, investigation showed.

Fuentes tried to pacify Abalorio, but the latter suddenly drew a knife and charged at the former, police said./PN
