ILOILO City – In Barangay Dacal, San Enrique, Iloilo, a man attending a wake was shot. He died.
The 28-year-old Jun-Jun Mandapat sustained gunshot wounds on the stomach and right shoulder.
He was taken to a hospital in the component city of Passi where he was pronounced dead, a police report showed.
A neighbor – 30-year-old Rhowie Lasap – was tagged as suspect. He turned himself in to Police Officer 2 Manuel De Guia of the San Enrique police station.
Mandapat was playing cards with friends at the wake of Restituto Pacrim around 10 p.m. on Sunday when Lasap arrived and fired at him, the police report stated.
The motive was not immediately known./PN
