AKLAN – A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Tabayon, Banga town, in this province.
Three homes made of light materials were totally gutted, while another house was damaged partially.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Banga received a fire call at 4:37 p.m. on April 16.
Fire Officer 2 Clement Catunao said the fire was raised to a second alarm, and fire trucks from neighboring Kalibo, Numancia and Balete towns responded.
A “fire out” was declared at 7 p.m.
No casualties or injuries were reported during the incident.
BFP-Banga is looking at faulty electrical wiring as the cause of the conflagration.
Meanwhile, another fire also gutted a home in Barangay Torralba, still in Banga, on April 17. Firefighters from Kalibo and Libacao towns responded.
