ILOILO City – Fire struck a sugarcane plantation in Barangay Tuburan, Pototan, Iloilo.
The blaze began around 12:20 p.m. from the plantation owned by Felicidad Posa then quickly spread to other parts of the field, a police report showed.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) firefighters augmented by volunteer fire brigades placed it under control after several minutes.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the total cost of damage./PN
