
ILOILO – Around 105 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P714,000 were confiscated from a 44-year-old fish vendor in an intelligence-driven buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion South, Oton, Iloilo.
The suspect identified by police as alias “Banong,” single, and a resident of the town, was classified as a high-value individual.
He was caught by joint operatives of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Team 1 and Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS) around 9:39 p.m. on October 7 after he sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing alleged shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Police recovered eight more plastic sachets of the said illegal substance, buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items.
