ILOILO City – Charged with violating the Philippine Fisheries Code, a resident of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo had been arrested.

Josephine Casipe, 67, was detained at the Barotac Viejo police station custodial facility.

Officers served her a warrant of arrest at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay San Juan, Barotac Viejo where she lived, a police report showed.

It was not clear what provision of the law Casipe was accused of violating but police said they had been searching for her since 2006.

Judge Danilo Balagtas of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court issued the arrest warrant and set at P12,000 the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

It was not clear as of this writing if the suspect has posted bail./PN
