BACOLOD City – After three barangays were declared drug-cleared, five villages in the city were considered as illegal drug “areas of concern.”
These were barangays 1, 2, 31, Banago, and Singcang-Airport, said Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky.
“These areas of concern must follow the barangays that were declared drug-cleared. They must cooperate with us,” said Wanky.
A meeting to be attended by all the 61 barangay captains in the city with the BCPO and the Department of Interior and Local Government was proposed by the Liga ng mga Barangay president Noli Villarosa, to which Wanky agreed.
“We can talk about the illegal drug problem and other crimes such as robbery, which is a current issue here,” said Wanky.
However, station commanders told Wanky that some barangays were uncooperative./PN
