BACOLOD City – The Sangguniang Panlungsod requested the Office of the City Mayor and the Human Resource Management Services to add more personnel at the City Agriculture Office.

Currently, an officer-in-charge, a senior aquaculturist and an agricultural technologist are the only workers at the office.

“With a complete labor force, the City Agriculture Office can maximize its operations and deliver effective service to farmers and fisherfolk in the city,” said Councilor Sonya Verdeflor.

The City Agriculture Office must implement laws, ordinances and programs for food security, protection, rehabilitation, and production of agricultural resources, added Verdeflor.
