BACOLOD City – Five barangay tanods were arrested for homicide in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
They were 47-year-old Armando Diamante, Mario Silapao, 53, Bryan Vargas, 29, Wilfredo Mahinay Sr., 57, and Ronald Mahinay, 39.
The suspects were caught on Sept. 21 on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental dated Aug. 16, a police report showed.
They were detained at the Ilog municipal police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P40,000 bail bond./PN
