ILOILO City – Some people tried to steal fish from their pond. Or so he believed.
It was around 12 midnight when Joel Bagunoc caught five men at their fishpond carrying a fish net.
Bagunoc was the caretaker of the fishpond that Dan Baliao was renting in Barangay Loboc, Lapuz district.
The complainant told the police that the suspected thieves ran toward different directions when he shone a flashlight on them.
The incident happened on Oct. 12 yet, a police report showed.
It was not immediately clear if the suspected thieves managed to bring any fish or fishing gear with them.
But Bagunoc was so alarmed by the incident that he reported it to the La Paz police station./PN
