SIBALOM, Antique – Four people were injured after two motorcycles figured in a collision in Barangay Igdalaquit, Sibalom on Saturday night.
Brought to Ramon Maza Sr. Memorial District Hospital (RMSMDH) were driver Reagan Solangon with backriders Ace John Mark Gito and Paul Justin Pasaquian of Barangay Igdalaquit, as well as driver Jason Macuana of Barangay Bugnay.
Two remained at RMSMDH, one was referred to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose de Buenavista town, while Macuana was assessed as an outpatient.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Jaysser Vagilidad, traffic investigator of Sibalom Municipal Police Station, Macuana was from the town proper on his way to Barangay Bugnay, while Solangon and his passengers were from Barangay Salvacion on their way home to Barangay Igdalaquit.
Upon reaching the curved part of the road, Macuana’s motorcycle allegedly veered off the line, consequently colliding with Solangon’s motorcycle.
It is learned that Macuana was under the influence of intoxicating liquor when the accident occurred.
Macuana is currently under the custody of the Sibalom MPS and will face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to property./PN
