ONE of the best partnership projects of Iloilo City and private sector is the free pandesal for less fortunate residents of the metro amid the imposed lockdown brought about by COVID-19 global pandemic.
Ilonggo pandesal is seen to augment the food needs of the people locked in their homes.

Distribution manned by the city government, 180 barangays had their own taste of Ilonggo pandesal.
Business establishments such as Angelina Bakeshop, La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation, Carlos Uy Corporation, and Great Harvest Commodities join the grind for this noble cause.

La Filipina Uy Gongco Corp. provided at least 540 bags of flour; Carlos Uy Corp. shouldered 14 bags refined sugar, five sacks of salt and 270 packs of yeast and Great Harvest Commodities supplied 30 sacks of raw sugar.
Angelina Bakeshop is in-charge of the labor, other manufacturing cost, raw materials needed to complete the recipe, and packaging materials, according to Ted Valderrama of Angelina Bakeshop.

This project will last up to the third week of April.
This joint effort of the donors continues to give joy to the Ilonggos in this time of crisis./PN
