ILOILO City – Tracker Team of the Iloilo City Police Station 5 successfully captured a German national identified as “Robert” for violations under Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act.
The 51-year-old resident of Barangay PHHC, Mandurriao was served with arrest warrants at around 3:09 p.m. on Feb. 26 in Barangay Onate De Leon, Mandurriao.
According to Captain Val Cambel, Mandurriao police chief, it was the suspect’s former lover who filed the case for abusing her when they were still together.
The warrants under Criminal Case Nos. 24-90930 and 24-90931 issued by Hon. Elijo Sharon Ronzales Herrera-Bellones recommended bail amounting to P72,000 and P2,000.
Presently, the apprehended individual is in the custody of the Mandurriao police, awaiting proper disposition.
