ILOILO – A couple from Pavia, Iloilo, was apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation on Monday night, Feb. 26.
High-value suspect alias “Jayson,” 33; and alias “Elen,” 47, and an overseas Filipino worker, both residents of Barangay Pandac, Pavia, yielded suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P442,000.
Seized items include 14 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 65 grams, the buy-bust money, and other non-drug items.
The operation at about 8:12 p.m. in Barangay Purok 4, Pavia was conducted by the Pavia Municipal Police Station as the lead unit and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
The arrested persons are now in the custody of the Pavia police and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
