ILOILO City – A 14-year-old girl claimed three persons raped her twice in a hut in Barangay Dulonan, Arevalo district.
A resident of the district, the girl said the three men were friends of her best friend’s boyfriend.
The rape happened on the night of Oct. 25, the girl told the police on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Prior to the rape, the girl said she had a drinking binge with her best friend and boyfriend, and the three suspects.
She was raped while drunk, said the girl.
“It took the girl quite some time to tell her grandfather about the rape. She was living with her grandfather,” said Senior Inspector Mary Grace Borio, Arevalo police chief.
Two of the three men the girl identified were immediately caught. One was a 17-year-old lad who was turned over to the Balay Dalayonan, a halfway house for juvenile delinquents located in La Paz district.
The other, a 24-year-old man, was detained at the Arevalo police station.
The third suspect remained at large as of this writing./PN
