BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man in Barangay Kalamtukan, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental for illegal possession of firearm.

Chief Inspector Michael Aydoc, Bayawan City police chief, identified the man as resident John Paul Condez.

Police caught Condez on the strength of six arrest warrants around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

Condez was detained at the Bayawan City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

It was not immediately clear if a bail bond was recommended for Condez’s temporary liberty./PN
