BACOLOD City – Police authorities of Isabela town, Negros Occidental are filing qualified theft against a man who reportedly stole his employer’s P82,000 cash and fled.
Rocky Endam Nonato, 19, of Sitio Lupni, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City is currently detained.
Investigation disclosed that on Saturday, Nonato was asked by his employer, Vicente Canlas Paredes, to deposit the cash in the bank.
Nonato failed to deposit the amount and fled.
Paredes immediately reported the incident to the police who conducted a follow-up operation and arrested the suspect around 2 p.m. on the same day.
The police recovered P65,000 from the suspect as part of the P82,000 cash amount./PN
