‘Hopie’ is back in PH after surgeries

HOPE Liza Soberano comes home after a series of surgeries in the U.S. for her fractured index finger.

The actress suffered the injury while filming for the fantaserye “Bagani” in 2018. In April 2019, Liza decided to withdraw from her role as “Darna” so she can fully recover from the injury.

“Hopie,” was a trending topic on Twitter, showing fans’ excitement over her arrival. Some fans with their signs and flowers greeted Liza at the airport.

Liza was advised by her doctors to take two months of recovery and to refrain from playing sports or strenuous physical activity.

Liza flew to the U.S. to last May to undergo her third surgery but because of bone infection she had to extend her stay for more surgeries. Earlier this July, she revealed that her index finger will never function the same way again.

Last week, she shared photos of herself after the operation, with a bandaged hand. It was also on the same week when Star Cinema reported that Jane De Leon will be the new actress portraying “Darna.” Liza congratulated the new Darna and even shared how excited she is for Jane.

In September, she’ll be co-starring in a new soap with Enrique Gil. (Cosmo.ph)
