ILOILO City – A 36-year-old house help in Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz district confessed to stealing cash from her employer.
The 51-year-old Edel Mae Magbanua complained to the police that she lost P42,000 cash.
Margie Berte, a resident of Barangay Fe, Culasi, Antique, admitted that she took it, a police report showed.
Berte, who was temporarily living with Magbanua, told the police the cash was placed in a green pouch inside her employer’s bedroom.
The police report stated that only P15,000 of the amount Berte claimed she took was recovered from her. It was not immediately clear where the remainder of the cash went./PN
