ILOILO City – A 54-year-old resident of Barangay West Timawa, Molo district claimed that her cousin threatened to harm her and her family, a police report showed.

Gemma Sustento told the police that an outraged Henry Mendoza, 48, stood in front of their house at around 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 17 and shouted, “Guwa kamo dira Gemma kay pamatyon ta na lang kamo! Guwa kamo dira tanan!”

But Sustento claimed she was not around at the time and learned about it only from their neighbors.

Her neighbors further quoted Mendoza as telling bystanders, “Kamo mga kabataan puli na lang kamo to kay pati kamo pamatyon ta man kamo,” Sustento told the police.

Mendoza cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.

Police referred the incident to the barangay lupon./PN
