ILOILO City – For possessing unlicensed firearms and ammunition, a man was arrested in Barangay San Antonio, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo yesterday.
Personnel of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) served a search warrant in the residence of Jupiter John Lascano around 8 a.m.
The raid led to the recovery of a .45 pistol loaded with 17 bullets and a 12-gauge shotgun with ammunition, police said.
The suspect failed to show pertinent documents to show his ownership of the recovered items, police added.
Lascano would be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
He was taken to the Barotac Viejo police station./PN
