ILOILO City – A 33-year-old man was arrested for alleged violation of the law against loose firearms.
Armed with a warrant, police searched the house of Gerson Peregrino in Barangay Lumbo, Pototan, Iloilo and found the following:
* a 12-gauge long barrel shotgun
* a .9 mm revolver with five live ammunition
* a .38 pistol with two live ammunition
Peregrino was placed in the custody of the Pototan municipal police station after his arrest at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, a police report stated.
Police said the operation was part of the province-wide house-to-house campaign against loose firearms.
Operatives from the Pototan police station, Provincial Special Operations Group of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion of the Police Regional Office 6 conducted the search, stated the police report./PN
