BACOLOD City – In Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, a husband allegedly choked his drunken wife to death.
Police identified the suspect as 49-year-old resident Francisco Cahede.
According to the police, Cahede and his 44-year-old wife Gerly had a heated argument over the latter’s drinking habits inside their house.
This prompted Cahede to choke his wife using a two-meter belt around 10 p.m. on July 10, a police report showed.
Police responded in the area after resident Jun Jabagat reported the incident, it added.
Cahede surrendered to the police and was detained in the lockup cell of the Sipalay City police station./PN
