ILOILO City – Officials of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) were doing a good job so there was no need to reshuffle them, according to Senior Superintendent Henry Biñas, city police director.
Biñas, however, confirmed that two officers were made to swap posts.
Superintendent Alexander Rosales, chief of the Iloilo City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit, switched assignments with Superintendent Efren Lozada, commander of the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC).
According to Biñas, Lozada had no “commando training”, which was a requirement to spearhead a police mobile force.
It was previously rumored that Chief Inspector Mary Grace Borio, commander of the Arevalo district police station, and Chief Inspector Tranquilino Querubin, chief of the Jaro district police station, were relieved from their respective posts.
But Banias clarified: “They are still police chiefs. I always give them guidance.”
“I often tell my police chiefs to exert more effort and be always on their posts,” Biñas added./PN
