ILOILO City – Police nabbed a man charged with illegal gambling in Barangay Poblacion, San Rafael, Iloilo.
Henry Turalba, a resident of the village, was caught around 1 p.m. on Nov. 13, a police report showed.
Officers of the San Rafael police station served Turalba an arrest warrant in relation to his charge for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9287.
RA 9287 is an act that increased the penalties for illegal numbers games, amending certain provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
Turalba was detained in the lockup cell of municipal police station.
The court recommended a P60,000 for his temporary liberty./PN
