BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man carrying an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Poblacion, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.
Bayawan City police nabbed the 36-year-old Alexander Esponilla of Barangay Suba, Bayawan City around 3:20 a.m. on Oct. 11, a police report showed.
Recovered from Esponilla was a .45-caliber pistol with serial number BA29740-10-246 loaded with five live bullets, police said.
Senior Police Officer 1 Rodel Glodove said a resident informed them of Esponillo’s whereabouts.
Esponillo was detained and faces charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
