ILOILO City – Iloilo City is among the top 10 safest urban centers in the Philippines, according to the country’s leading real estate portal Persquare Philippines.
According to the website, Iloilo City is identified as one of the safest cities in the country where prospective property buyers may choose to settle and build their dream home.
Iloilo City got its nickname, “The City of Love” because it has the nicest people in the world, the article mentioned.
Aside from the hospitable locals, Iloilo City is also known for its great police force and rigorous government.
Persquare cited that safety and security are two fundamental factors when choosing a home.

Also in the list are Valenzuela City, Alabang in Muntinlupa City, Cagayan De Oro, Puerto Princesa City, Naga City, Dumaguete City, Tacloban City, Cebu City, and Baguio City.
Meanwhile, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the citation affirmed the city’s growing reputation as livable, safe and peaceful place to live, work or do business in the metropolis for both locals and visitors and investors alike.
